<p>Over in the US, Apple has ditched its automatically generated game pages on the App Store, in favour of lists that have been curated by Apple's editors.</p><p>If you go to the, say, adventure games section on the App Store in the UK you'll get a list of new (and updated) games in that genre, and some nebulous "what's hot" bit.</p><p>The quality of the games on these lists is, shall we say, mixed.</p><p>But go to that same section in the US and you'll see banners for games like Waking Mars and The Silent Age, and hand-picked selections of "Best New Games", "All-Time Greats", "Free Games", and premium games with no in-app purchases.</p><p>Techcrunch spotted the change, and 9 to 5 Mac learnt that Apple switched to the editorially curated lists for games subcategories on May 14th last month. Keep an eye out for the same thing happening in other territories.</p>...

<p>Following its release in October last year, SuperPlanet's Sword Master Story has now been downloaded over one million times. That's not all the news related to the hack 'n' slash RPG, however. There is also a smattering of new content available in the game.</p><p>Among this influx of content is a new character called Kana. She is a five-star Fire Element Archer character who dispatches her foes with physically damaging attacks. Her in-game lore is something of a mystery since no one knows who she is or where she comes from. All they know is that she's incredibly powerful.</p><p>In addition to the arrival of Kana, there is a brand new feature called The Ideal Stone. This will allow players to make their current roster of characters even more powerful than before. They'll be able to give their heroes additional stats using Souls and Transcendence Scrolls which can be obtained from selling Character shards.</p><p>Beyond that, the next update is also set to contain more items related to The Ideal Stone including a new stat, Magic Resistance. There will also be numerous in-game events to celebrate the game hitting one million downloads that will net players useful items such as stamina and rubies.</p><p>If you're unfamiliar with Sword Master Story, it's an idle RPG where you'll look to collect a series of heroes to send into numerous battles, either hands-on or off, depending on your preference. There are four classes and five attributes these different characters fall under so it's important to gather a good mixture to deal with any situation the game may throw at you.</p><p>Sword Master Story is available now over on the App Store and Google Play. <p>Frozen Gun Games has done well with its Bronze Award-winning monochrone puzzle-platformer Freeze! - it's been downloaded over 11 million times since it came out in 2012.</p><p>So it makes sense that there would be a sequel. And yes, there will be once Freeze! 2 - Brothers comes out for iOS and Android on September 24th.</p><p>This time, instead of carefully tipping one eyeball monster-thing around the tilt-mazes you'll have to deal with two of them.</p><p>Apparently, the guy in the first Freeze! never made it back home after being abducted by aliens. This caused his brother to set out to find him inside the prison mazes.</p><p>Having two creatures to manipulate isn't just a case of making the sequel immediately more difficult.</p><p>If you watch the teaser trailer below you'll see there are mechanics built around using them in co-operation.</p><p>Switches need to be hit in different parts of the mazes. Spinning platforms need to be weighed down. Warp gates need to be travelled through in tandem.</p><p>Of course, the titular "freeze" mechanic returns so you can spin the maze around the brothers while they are frozen in the air.</p>...
