And here’s a trailer https://t.co/1LKwr6p9Y2— Glitch Games (@GlitchGames) September 28, 2016 Along with a new trailer, we've also got an inkling of a story. You play as John 'buster of ghosts' Murr as he investigates the case of Evelyn Bright, a ten year-old girl who went missing whilst playing hide-and-seek with her father.

Thankfully from the trailer it looks like Glitch Games has stuck to their word and avoided that clichéd sin of spooky games - the jumpscare. Instead The Forgotten Room focuses more highly on subtlety which is what more game in the genre, regardless of the platform, desperately need.

If there's one thing missing from the mobile world it's a neat collection of scary games – I mean the ones lacking cheap jump-scares and awful, loud noises. With games like Year Walk and the upcoming horror From Beneath out there it's not an impossible feat, and I hope to whoever's listening that The Forgotten Room by Glitch Games isn't going to be another disappointment.

"Don't you open that trap door!" is the only line about the game thus far.

The Forgotten Room is a very simple-looking exploratory game like so many indie horrors on PC. Visually it looks absolutely gorgeous with clean and detailed textures and level design reminiscent of the traditional Silent Hill games. You know: creepy but everything has a place and purpose.

From their forum page, Glitch Games are about as abhorred by cheap jump-scares as I am so let's hope that things settle on more 'unnerving' than 'in-your-face horrific'. Sometimes less is more.

Though there's no specific release date out just yet, they are hoping to get it done around Halloween, and will be looking for beta testers in the coming weeks. Stay tuned.

Pachoink! is an interesting Pachinko-like hybrid that sees you attempting to break blocks on each of its many stages in record time. You'll do this by launching a small ball into the level/machine, though it's far more complicated than you might expect.

Sure, the only control you have is deciding the strength behind firing the ball, but you'll also need to take every individual element of the level and block placement into consideration – thoughtlessly firing dozens of balls is a recipe for disaster.

Earlier this year, LifeAfter held a crossover event that saw characters from Capcom’s Resident Evil series make an appearance in the post-apocalyptic survival game. NetEase Games has now begun the second phase of this event, which will go live on Thursday, 3rd December, and run on until 17th December.

As the title “The Final Battle” implies, the event involves players uniting to deal the final blow to the Umbrella Corporation. Fan favourite characters such as Leon Kennedy, Jill Valentine and Ada Wong make an appearance, as well as series villains such as Albert Wesker and Resident Evil 2’s Tyrant.

All items from the first event from August will return during the new event, including Leon and Ada’s classic outfits, the motorcycle, and limited Resident Evil-themed decorations and pendants. Phase 2 will also introduce new outfits for Jill and Wesker, with new items such as a backpack and a picture frame also being made available during the event.

Here’s a trailer to show you more of the LifeAfter x Resident Evil event. As you can see, you’ll be able to enjoy the familiar LifeAfter experience within Resident Evil’s R.P.D. setting.

The director of upcoming co-op 3DS adventure The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes has explained why you can't play with a female avatar in the game.

Speaking to IGN, the game's director Hiromasa Shikata essentially said that due to the game's background story it has to have a male character, and only that.

Shikata explained that, in the game, the king needs heroes after an "event happens" and so he puts out a call for them. One of those who auditions is Link, and so you play as him, and not a woman.

"The story calls for this sort of legend/prophecy where heroes will come together to help solve a problem. And in that, they are male characters," Shikata said.

"So, because the game is set with that as the story background, you cannot choose a gender; you are a male character."

When asked about the Zelda outfit that Link can wear in the game, which is said to be a step closer to appealing to the female audience, Shikata assured IGN that women like the game just fine.
Kingdom GuardLove made them not; with acture they may be,Might makes right.

"I sailed with William Crawford for many a year, and for courage and endurance and truth that man hadn't an equal. They've got brains over on that side of Four Winds. Mebbe that's why this side is sorter inclined to pick on 'em. Strange, ain't it, how folks seem to resent anyone being born a mite cleverer than they be."
